# Adding Auction Items in Bulk

## Open Item Catalog

- Go to your dashboard.

- Click **Manage auction** on the auction card, or open the campaign.

- In the left sidebar, under **Fundraising Modules**, click **Online Auction**.

- You land on **Item Catalog**.

The page URL includes /admin/auctions/{id}/item-management/item-catalog .

Note: There is no left-sidebar entry named Item Management. In the left sidebar, under **Fundraising Modules**, click **Online Auction** instead.

## Click Upload

The **Add items** heading helper text is **Build your catalog one item at a time or in bulk.**

- Stay on the **Item Catalog** tab.

- In **Add items**, click **Upload**.

- The **Upload Items in Bulk** modal opens.

You can do this while the auction is still a Draft.

## Download the Excel template

The modal helper text is **Choose your preferred method to upload items. Download our template for easy formatting if needed.**

The method on the modal is **Upload File (Excel)**.

- Click **Download Excel Template** if you want a starting point.

- Open the file and add your items.

- Save the file as **.xlsx** or **.xls**.

## Upload the spreadsheet

- Use **Choose your spreadsheet**.

- Tap to upload, or drag and drop on desktop.

- The accepted types are **Excel files (.xlsx, .xls)**.

**Cancel** or **Close** leaves the modal without uploading.

## After the items are in the catalog

Your items show in **Item Catalog**.

To change one item:

- Stay on **Item Catalog**.

- Find the item row.

- Open the **⋯** Actions menu.

- Click **Edit**.

## Frequently asked questions

### Where do I upload items in bulk?

From the dashboard, click Manage auction or open the campaign. In the left sidebar, under Fundraising Modules, click Online Auction. That opens Item Catalog. In Add items, click Upload. Do not look for Item Management in the left sidebar.

### Do I need the Excel template?

The Upload Items in Bulk modal says Download our template for easy formatting if needed. Click Download Excel Template if you want a starting point.

### What file can I upload?

Excel files (.xlsx, .xls). The drop zone says Choose your spreadsheet. You can tap to upload, or drag and drop on desktop.

### Where is Item Management?

It is not in the left sidebar. In the left sidebar, under Fundraising Modules, click Online Auction instead. That lands you on Item Catalog at a URL that includes /item-management/item-catalog.

### How do I add one item instead?

In Add items, click Add item. See How do I add an item to my auction.
