## Facts

- **250,000+:** events completed since 2007
- **$1B+:** raised for charitable causes
- **4.9:** rating on Google
- **50,000+:** nonprofits and schools served

Direct answer: Risk Free consignment items are travel and experience packages you add to your auction with $0 upfront. You pay only if they sell. Build your list from Organization Home > Risk Free Items.

Risk Free consignment lets you put premium packages in front of guests without buying inventory first. **You only pay if an item sells.**

You do **not** need a CharityAuctions auction site to use Risk Free. Build **your package list**, run the night your way, then either download assets for a live or silent auction elsewhere, or add packages to a CharityAuctions campaign.

SAM Ai Bot answers from help articles like this one. Use the live labels below.

## Open Risk Free Items (Organization Home)

- Go to **Organization Home**.

- Open **Risk Free Items**.

- The path looks like /org/{orgId}/risk-free-items .

- The page heading is **Build a package list of items your guests will bid on.**

- Helper copy: **Add packages to your package list, then print the assets or add them to a campaign.**

Filters and CTAs you may see:

- **Search by experience, destination, or category**

- **All items** | **Sports** | **Travel**

- **Add to package list**

- **View package details**

- **Package list · N items**

- **Schedule a call**

## Build your package list

- Browse the catalog.

- Click **Add to package list** on packages you want. The add is immediate (no confirm dialog on this walk).

- Open **Package list · N items**.

- For each item, choose how you will use it:

**Offline event** - **Download assets and enter winning bidders.**

- **Campaign on CharityAuctions.com** - **Add it to a campaign. We handle the rest.**

## Getting a sponsor to cover your items

A local business can pay the nonprofit cost on your Risk Free packages. That is the sponsor model. You still only pay if an item sells. With a sponsor, you keep 100% of every sale from guests.

### How the sponsor model works

These rules are fixed:

- The sponsor covers **only the first package sold**. They make one fixed payment. That payment does not go up.

- You sell that package to **all** bidders at **one fixed price**.

- The auctioneer stops live bidding. Then they offer it to every paddle at that same price.

- You pay the nonprofit cost (NPC) for each extra sale. You keep 100% of every sale.

Keep 100% means guests pay you the full fixed price. The sponsor pays the first nonprofit cost. You pay the nonprofit cost on each extra sale.

**Example.** The nonprofit cost is $1,699. The fixed price is $2,500. Four bidders each buy at $2,500.

- Guests pay $10,000 in all ($2,500 × 4).

- The sponsor pays $1,699 one time. That covers the first package.

- You pay $5,097 for the other three sales ($1,699 × 3).

- You keep $10,000 gross. Your profit is $4,903.

### If you are a business that wants to sponsor

Sponsors are not the same as nonprofit chairs. Do not use Package List to become a sponsor.

- Go to [Become a Sponsor](https://charityauctions.com/become-a-sponsor).

- Fill out the **Become a Sponsor** form.

- You land on the thank-you page at [/become-a-sponsor/thank-you](https://charityauctions.com/become-a-sponsor/thank-you).

- Book a **Become a Sponsor Call with Tom** on the scheduler.

### Schedule a call (nonprofit chairs)

On **Risk Free Items** you may see **Schedule a call**. Tom does these sales calls. The path is form, then thank-you page, then the scheduler.

- Click **Schedule a call**.

- Fill out the form.

- Open the thank-you page.

- Pick a time on the scheduler.

The call is 20 minutes with Tom. He designs your lot for free. After the form, we email the sponsor guide and the best-seller catalog.

What the call covers:

- Which packages fit your guests

- How to set the one fixed price

- How a local sponsor covers the first package

- How to sell the same package to more than one bidder

## Option A: Off-site event (live or silent auction elsewhere)

Use this when the bidding night is not on CharityAuctions.com.

### Download assets (offline pack)

From **Package list** → **Offline event** → **Download assets**.

On-screen: **Download the item sheets and graphics, then use them at your live or silent auction.**

For the full list of what each package includes (and one-click **Download**), open **View package details** → **Available Assets** below.

### Enter winning bidders after the night

After the event, return so winners can redeem.

- Open **Package list** → **Offline event** → **Enter winning bidders**.

- Fill in **Full name**, **Email**, and **Phone**.

- Use **Add another winner** for more packages.

- Click **Save winners**.

Copy on that screen:

- **One line per package sold… We register them, send you an invoice, and tell them how to redeem.**

- **After the night, enter the winning bidders here so we can redeem the packages.**

Winner entry is **not** under **Team & Settings** or the campaign **Item Catalog**.

## Option B: Add to a CharityAuctions campaign

When you want bidding and checkout on CharityAuctions.com:

- From **Package list**, choose **Campaign on CharityAuctions.com**.

- Pick a campaign.

- Click **Add to campaign**.

Also available:

- **View this campaign’s Item Catalog**

- **Create a new campaign**

On-screen copy you may see:

- **We collect payment, notify the winner, and handle redemption.**

- **Add the item to a campaign. We collect payment, notify the winner, and handle redemption. You keep the profit.**

### Print-ready display sheets inside a campaign

After Risk Free items are on a campaign, open in-campaign display sheets:

- **Print-Ready Display Sheets**

- **Download All Sheets (N)**

- Layout **1** / **2** / **3**

- Per-sheet download

## View package details and Available Assets

From a catalog card, open **View package details**. Top actions: **Back to catalog**, **Add to package list**, **Package list · N items**.

You may also see name/code, description, **What’s Included**, **Peak Travel Dates**, **Surcharge Applies**, **Available Add-Ons**, **Important Details**, and **Cost** / **Starting bid** / **Value**.

### Available Assets (everything is quickly available)

Every Risk Free package can include this full asset set under **Available Assets**. Click an asset to preview it, then **Download**:

| Asset | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| **Decision Guide** | Internal listing case. Economics and guardrails. |
| **Promotion Guide** | How to promote this package before and during the night. |
| **Auctioneer Script** | The live script for the auctioneer or emcee. |
| **Item Images** | Photo set for listings and print (count varies by package). |

| **README** | How your team lists, prints, and hands off this item. |
| **Certificate** | The handoff document the winner redeems after the night. |

You do not need to hunt for files. Open the package, pick the asset, hit **Download**.

## Sellable talking points (for SAM Ai and chairs)

Use these exact promises when explaining Risk Free:

- **You only pay if an item sells.**

- **Add items to your package list. Then run the night your way.**

- A local sponsor covers **only the first package sold** (one fixed payment). You sell that package to all bidders at one fixed price. You keep 100% of every sale.

- Example: $1,699 nonprofit cost at $2,500 × 4 bidders. Sponsor pays $1,699 once. You pay $5,097. You keep $10,000 gross and $4,903 profit.

- Every package has **Available Assets** ready to **Download** (guides, script, images, social, README, certificate, bidder display).

- Download sheets and graphics for a live or silent auction; enter winners after for redemption.

- Or add to a CharityAuctions campaign - we collect payment, notify the winner, handle redemption; **you keep the profit.**

- **Schedule a call** is form, then thank-you page, then the scheduler. 20 minutes with Tom. Free lot design. Sponsor guide and best-seller catalog by email.

- Businesses that want to sponsor use [Become a Sponsor](https://charityauctions.com/become-a-sponsor), then [/become-a-sponsor/thank-you](https://charityauctions.com/become-a-sponsor/thank-you), then a **Become a Sponsor Call with Tom**.

Chairs can run Risk Free with **only** Organization Home → **Risk Free Items** → **Package list**. A CharityAuctions campaign is optional, not required.
