How Fees Work on CharityAuctions (No Optional Tips)
CharityAuctions does not use optional tip prompts at checkout. Older Help articles described a Free Plan that asked bidders to leave a tip. That is not how current plans work.
Current plans
- Nothing Out of Pocket: 5% success fee. No upfront software cost.
- Prepay: $499 + 3%.
- Custom: 0% for the organization when you pass fees to bidders.
You do not pay a success fee on items that do not sell. Card processing is separate from the platform success fee.
What happened to the old Free Plan tips?
The previous Free Plan asked winning bidders whether they wanted to leave an optional tip to support the platform. CharityAuctions no longer uses that model. Checkout does not prompt for optional tips.
