How to Add or Edit Auction Administrators

You invite team members from Invite Team. This is a team invite, not a bidder invite.

In the left sidebar, under TOOLS, click Invite Team. There is no left-sidebar item named Auction Setup.

Open Invite Team

  1. Go to your dashboard.
  2. Click Manage auction on the auction card. That opens Campaign Hub.
  3. In the left sidebar, under TOOLS, click Invite Team.
  4. You land on Manage Team Members.

The page URL includes /admin/auctions/{id}/team-management.

If you are looking for Auction Setup in the left sidebar, you will not find it. In the left sidebar, under TOOLS, click Invite Team instead.

Invite a team member

The form heading is Invite New Team Member.

  1. Enter the person's Email Address. They must register with this same email later.
  2. Choose Access level. Staff is the default. It gives full auction management. Volunteer is for live event kiosk, guest check-in, and guest registration only. These are team roles, not bidder roles.
  3. Click Send Invitation.

The person receives an email with a link to join your auction team.

The page also has an Existing Team Members section. If no one has been invited yet, you see No team members invited yet.

What the invitee does after the email

  1. Click the link in the email.
  2. Create an account. Use the same Email Address the admin entered on Invite Team.
  3. Go to charityauctions.com/bidder/dashboard. This page is Auctions I'm Managing.
  4. Accept the invite from the note there.

After you accept, that auction is added under Auctions I'm Managing. Accepted team access shows a Staff badge on the auction card.

I can't access an auction I was invited to

If it says you are not registered for that auction yet, check two things.

  1. You registered with a different email than the one the admin entered.
  2. You have not accepted the invite yet on Auctions I'm Managing.

Use the same email. Then accept the invite from the note on charityauctions.com/bidder/dashboard.

This is a team invite. Do not treat it as a bidder invite.

Portal shows active but pending registration

That usually means the team invite is still open.

  1. Check spam or junk for the invite email.
  2. Register with the same Email Address the admin entered on Invite Team.
  3. Go to charityauctions.com/bidder/dashboard. That page is Auctions I'm Managing.
  4. Accept the invite from the note there.

Until you accept with the matching email, the portal can look active while registration is still pending.

If you registered with a different email, the admin must delete the invite on Invite Team under Existing Team Members, then Send Invitation to the email you actually use.

Common issues

  1. The invite email often goes to spam. Check spam or junk. Then click the link in that email.
  2. The team member registers with a different email than you entered. That is why they see they are not registered for that auction yet.
  3. If they used the wrong email, they cannot fix it by making another account on their own. You must delete the invite, then send a new invitation to the email they actually registered with. Do this on Invite Team under Existing Team Members. Delete the invite, then Send Invitation to the new Email Address.
