How to Change the End Time of Your Auction

Direct answer: You change your auction's end time in its Bidding Window. All items follow the window, so you never edit times on individual items, and you can change it even after publishing.

All scheduling is controlled through Bidding Windows. You never need to edit times on individual items.

Open Online Auction

1. Go to your dashboard.
2. Click Manage auction on the auction card. That opens Campaign Hub.
3. In the left sidebar, under Fundraising Modules, click Online Auction. You land on Item Catalog.
4. Bidding windows sit just above Add item.

You can add, edit, delete, or close early any bidding window. You can also do this when you add an item.

Note: There is no left-sidebar entry named Auction Setup, and no Bid Schedule page. Bidding windows live on Online Auction, just above Add item.

Change the end time (or start time)

1. Find the bidding window just above Add item.
2. Click Edit.
3. Change the start time, the end time, or both.
4. Save your changes.

As soon as you save, the updated times apply to all items connected to that bidding window.

Tip: set a Default window

If you make a bidding window the Default, that window is pre-selected every time you add a new item. Use Set as default window when you add or edit a window.

This helps when you add groups of items into different bidding windows. Switch the Default before you add or upload the next group. New items land in the window you just set.

How Bidding Windows Work

Every auction item is assigned to a Bidding Window.

The Bidding Window controls:

• When bidding opens
• When bidding closes
• The schedule for all items assigned to that window

Because of this design, you only need to update the window itself to change the timing for your entire auction.

No Need to Edit Items Individually

When you change the window:

• Every item assigned to it is updated automatically
• You do not need to open or edit items one by one
• The new schedule is applied across your auction

You Can Change Times Even After Publishing

Auction times can be adjusted at any point, including:

• Before your auction is published
• After the auction is live
• While bidding is active (as long as the end time has not passed)

You can extend bidding, adjust schedules, or fix a wrong time.

• Extending bidding due to high demand
• Accommodating a schedule change
• Correcting an incorrect time entry
• Giving bidders more time to participate
