How to Clone Items to Another Auction
TL;DR
To move item content into another campaign, open the previous auction Item Catalog, select all the items you want to clone, then click Bulk Edit, choose Clone to Auction, pick the destination, then click Clone N Items. Cloned items land as Draft (Category becomes General Items; item number is empty; no timeblock). Duplicate in the row Actions menu only copies inside the same auction. There is no control labeled Transfer or Move.
You can reuse items from a previous auction in a new campaign. Live CharityAuctions calls this Clone to Auction (inside Bulk Edit). There is no button labeled Transfer or Move.

Open the previous auction Item Catalog
- Click All Campaigns in the top left under the CharityAuctions logo (or open Auction Campaigns from the organization level).
- Open the previous campaign, then Manage auction / Campaign Hub.
- In the left sidebar, open Online Auction.
- Land on the Item Catalog tab.
The URL looks like /admin/auctions/{id}/item-management/item-catalog.
Other Item Catalog tabs you may see: Categories, Donors, Display Sheets.
Clone items into another auction
This is the cross-campaign path.
Select every item you want first. Bulk Edit only applies to the items you already checked.
- On Item Catalog, select all the items you want to clone.
- Click Bulk Edit only after those items are selected. The dialog title is Bulk Edit Items.
- Under CLONE / COPY, choose Clone to Auction.
- In the destination picker, choose the other campaign or auction (not Current Auction (Edit in place)).
- Read the warning: Select another auction to clone the N selected items into. Cloned items will have their status set to Draft.
- After you pick a destination, the dialog also notes that selected items will be cloned with:
- Category → General Items
- Status → Draft
- Item number → empty
- No timeblock
- Click Clone N Items. You can also Cancel or Close.
The bulk selection bar alone shows Bulk Edit and Delete. Clone lives inside Bulk Edit.
Duplicate an item in the same auction only
If you only need a second copy in the same auction:
- On the item row, open Actions (…).
- Menu labels: Edit | Duplicate | Download Certificate | Delete.
- Click Duplicate.
Duplicate runs immediately. There is no dialog and no destination picker. It creates {name} (Copy) as Draft in the same catalog.
