Using Risk Free Consignment Items

You can get auction items three ways. Use donor gifts you already have. Buy items. Or add Risk Free consignment items from CharityAuctions.

CharityAuctions is the consignment provider. There is no upfront cost. You pay only if the item sells.

There is no left-sidebar entry named Item Management or Risk Free. In the left sidebar, under Fundraising Modules, click Online Auction. Then open the Risk Free Items tab.

Open the Risk Free Items tab

Go to your dashboard.
Click Manage auction on the auction card. That opens Campaign Hub.
In the left sidebar, under Fundraising Modules, click Online Auction. You land on Item Catalog.
In the tab row, click Risk Free Items.

The tabs are Item Catalog, Categories, Donors, Risk Free Items, and Display Sheets.

The page URL includes /item-management/item-catalog?tab=risk-free-items.

The page heading is Risk Free Items overview.

If you are looking for Item Management or Risk Free in the left sidebar, you will not find them. In the left sidebar, under Fundraising Modules, click Online Auction instead. Then open the Risk Free Items tab.

What is on each card

The page shows a catalog of item cards. The catalog paginates.

Each card shows:

A category chip
Title
Provider
Description
Estimated Value
Your Cost (if sold)
Suggested Start Bid
A blue + Add to Auction button

Add a Risk Free item to your auction

On the Risk Free Items tab, click + Add to Auction on a card.
The Confirm Add Item modal appears. It says you are about to add the item to your auction item catalog. It shows the cost to your auction if this item sells, and the suggested starting bid. Click Yes, Add Item to Auction. Or click Cancel.
The Item Added Successfully! modal appears. Click Go to Item Catalog. Or click Continue Adding Items.

The item then shows in Item Catalog. The row has an item number (for example SPT-NAT-001), name, category, start bid, Status Active, and a Risk-Free type badge. There are no extra form fields. There is no gift-certificate step. The auction can stay Draft.

If you do not have an auction yet

You can still ask for items to list. Go to Risk Free auction items. Click Send me items I can list.

How do I add a Risk Free item?

From the dashboard, click Manage auction. That opens Campaign Hub. In the left sidebar, under Fundraising Modules, click Online Auction. You land on Item Catalog. In the tab row, click Risk Free Items. On an item card, click the blue + Add to Auction button.

What if it does not sell?

You owe nothing. There is no upfront cost. You pay only if the item sells. CharityAuctions is the consignment provider.

What is on each Risk Free item card?
