How Payouts Work in CharityAuctions

Payouts depend on how bidder payments were collected.

The Payouts tab is only there if CharityAuctions collected the money. If you connected your own Stripe, there is no Payouts tab.

If CharityAuctions collected the money, there is a 7 to 14 day hold before funds are available to send. Then you Request Payout. If you connected your own Stripe, funds are available in 48 to 72 hours.

For timing clocks in more detail, see When Will I Receive My Auction Funds?. For ACH banking steps, see How do I set up direct deposit?.

When is there a Payouts tab?

Only if CharityAuctions collected the money.

There are two collection modes.

  • If you clicked Connect Stripe, bidder payments go to your Stripe account. There is no Payouts tab and no Payout option. Funds are available in 48 to 72 hours.
  • If CharityAuctions collected the money, the Payouts tab is there. There is a 7 to 14 day hold before funds are available to send.

There is no sidebar item named Post Event Tasks.

If you connected your own Stripe

Funds are available in 48 to 72 hours. They are not instant. You do not give CharityAuctions banking info. There is no Request Payout and no Stripe ACH email from CharityAuctions.

  1. Go to your dashboard.
  2. Click Manage auction on the auction card. That opens Campaign Hub.
  3. In the left sidebar, under TOOLS, click Invoices & Payouts.
  4. You land on Invoices.

Open an invoice. Each invoice lists its transactions. That is where you look, in the place you would have looked for Payouts.

To connect Stripe, in the left sidebar, under CAMPAIGN, click Campaign Settings. Open the Payments tab. Click Connect Stripe.

If CharityAuctions collected the money

The Payouts tab is there. There is a 7 to 14 day hold before funds are available to send. That hold is not the later review.

After the hold, you Request Payout on the Payouts tab.

  1. Go to your dashboard.
  2. Click Manage auction on the auction card. That opens Campaign Hub.
  3. In the left sidebar, under TOOLS, click Invoices & Payouts.
  4. You land on Invoices. Click the Payouts tab.

The page URL may still include /post-event-tasks/invoices. There is no left-sidebar item named Post Event Tasks.

If a red banner says Verification required to enable payouts, Complete Setup is the verification button.

After you request a payout, the CharityAuctions team reviews it. After they approve, usually 24 to 48 hours, they send a Stripe secure link so you can connect ACH banking information. They also send a dedicated email telling you to look out for the Stripe email. Check spam.

The 7 to 14 day hold and the 24 to 48 hour review are different steps. Do not treat them as one wait.

The Stripe link is one-time. Enter banking info in one sitting. If the link is missing or expired, contact support. There is no self-serve resend.

See How do I set up direct deposit? for the ACH steps. For more on the clocks, see When Will I Receive My Auction Funds?.
