How Payouts Work in CharityAuctions
CharityAuctions uses Stripe to securely process and send payouts to all customers. Payouts are simple to request and are handled after your auction ends.
When Can I Request a Payout
Payouts are requested only after your auction has ended. You do not need to enter any banking information before the event is over.
Once your auction is complete and invoices have been generated, you can begin the payout process.
Where to Find the Payout Section
All payout actions are located in the main auction dashboard.
To access payouts:
Open your completed auction.
In the left navigation menu, click Post Event Tasks.
Select Payouts.
This is where all verification and payout requests are managed.
The Two-Step Payout Process
Before a payout can be issued, two steps must be completed.
Step 1 – Complete Verification
Under the Payouts section you will see:

After requesting a payout, Stripe will email a secure link where you can:

Sending Funds to Another Organization
You are not required to receive the payout personally.
During the payout process you may choose to send funds to a different organization. This is especially useful for:
Businesses running an auction for a nonprofit
Individuals fundraising on behalf of a charity
Groups that prefer not to handle money directly
Payout Timing
Payouts are typically issued within 7 to 14 days after the payout request is made.
Actual timing depends on:
Completion of Stripe verification
When bidder invoices are paid
Bank processing times
Important Best Practices
For the fastest and smoothest payout experience:
Wait until all bidder invoices are paid before requesting a payout
Ensure all required verification information is completed
Respond promptly to any emails from Stripe
Submit only one payout request per auction when possible
Requesting multiple payouts from the same auction may result in additional ACH transfer fees. We strongly recommend waiting until all payments are complete before submitting your request.
Common Reasons for Payout Delays
Most payout delays occur because:
Verification setup has not been completed
No banking information has been provided
Required personal details are missing
Bidder invoices remain unpaid
Stripe has requested additional identity verification
If any information is missing, Stripe will contact you directly by email with instructions.
